African swine fever detected at Miratorg

Miratorg, Russia’s largest meat producer, reports on the outbreak of African swine fever at one of its pig farms in the Kursk region. Currently, the company in cooperation with local veterinary authorities is trying to stop the spread of the disease. The number of pigs maintained at the facility has not been disclosed. This is the fifth case of African swine fever in the Kursk region over the last two months.
