Agricom Group to produce flakes from its own oats

Agricom Group, a Ukrainian producer and processor of crops operating 40,000 hectares of farmland, plans to grow more oats to provide raw materials for its flakes production plant. In particular, the company plans to allocate up to 4,000 hectares for oats production and thus cover about 60% of its needs in commodities for processing as compared to the current 30%. The key driver behind such decision is negative experience of cooperation with local farmers, as some of them failed to supply commodities under the terms of forward contracts signed earlier.
