Astarta-Kyiv completed sugar season

Astarta-Kyiv, a Ukraine-based agroholding and leading sugar producer operating 250,000 hectares of farmland, has completed the sugar season at its Zhdanovskyi sugar plant. During 83 days of the season, the plant processed over 304,000 tonnes of sugar beets.

In total, Astarta operates eight sugar plants. Altogether they produced 227,000 tonnes of sugar in 2020 allowing Astarta to obtain a 22% share of the national sugar market.
