Astarta-Kyiv donated $923,000 for anti-coronavirus campaign

Astarta, a Ukraine-based agroholding operating 250,000 hectares of farmland, allocated $923,000 to help Ukrainian hospitals to overcome COVID-19 outbreak. These funds were used to purchase medical equipment, personal protective equipment, and disinfectants, which will be delivered to 36 hospitals in seven regions of Ukraine. The company also transferred its lab equipment to the Poltava central laboratory of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for temporary use. With this equipment, the laboratory is able to identify coronavirus COVID-19 in the human blood using the PCR method. In addition, Astarta allocated $37,000 for the Kyiv Volunteer Headquarters, which coordinates the delivery of necessary equipment and protection means to the Kyiv hospitals.
