Astarta-Kyiv: net profit up 400% in 2020

Astarta-Kyiv, a Ukraine-based agroholding, reported net profit of €8.61 million in 2020, a 409%-increase as compared to 2019. Gross profit rose 33% to €121.53 million, and EBITDA rose 46% to €113.4 million within the same period of time. At the same time, the company’s revenue declined 7% to €415.63 million in 2020 as compared to 2019. In particular, Astarta’s revenue by segments changed as follows in 2020: crop production down 15% to €175.14 million, soybean processing down 9% to €75.16 million, sugar production up 7% to €126.97 million, and raw milk production slightly decreased from €34.6 million to €33.17 million.
