Astarta-Kyiv to get $10 million in loan from EBRD

Astarta-Kyiv, Ukraine’s leading sugar producer, will receive a $10 million loan from European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Funding will be issued in addition to the first tranche of $20 million received back in 2018. Astarta will use the funds for financing its working capital. In H1 2020, the company posted net profit of $8.7 million, a 75% decrease as compared to the same period last year.
