Astarta settled conflict with its ex-director

Astarta, a Ukraine-based agroholding and leading sugar producer operating 250,000 hectares of farmland, settled the conflict with the ex-director of its subsidiary Dobrobut Oleksandr Kovalenko. Back in 2019, Astarta accused Mr. Kovalenko of intentional termination of land lease agreements between Dobrobut and the owners of land plots operated by the company. The total amount in dispute claimed by Astarta was $2 million.

According to the statement lately made by Astarta, Oleksandr Kovalenko acknowledged the fact that his illegal actions caused material and moral damage to the company and agreed to compensate the damage by transferring his stake in Dobrobut to Astarta.
