Astarta to produce organic crops

A subsidiary of Ukrainian agroholding Astarta has been certified organic by Organic Standard Ltd, an EU-recognized Ukrainian organic certification body. To meet the standards of organic production, the enterprise had to undergo a three-year transition period and adapt its crop management practices, abolish the application of agrochemicals and fertilizers, and respectively update its agricultural machinery park.
The newly certified enterprise operates 1,820 hectares of farmland and produces wheat, soybeans, corn, buckwheat, and millet.
