BrasilAgro sold farm in Mato Grosso

BrasilAgro, one of Brazil’s largest agricultural producers, reports to have sold its farm Alto Taquari in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil. The facility produces grains and sugarcane and operates 3,720 hectares in total, of them 2,694 hectares are farmland. The worth of the deal was BRL 589 million (US$ 106 million), which is 65% above BrasilAgro’s own preliminary value estimations. Back in 2007, BrasilAgro acquired this farm for BRL 30 million (US$5.4 million). This is believed to be the most profitable deal in the company’s history.
