BRF and Marfrig: merger canceled

Brazil’s largest meat producers BRF and Marfrig announced to have stopped negotiations on potential merger. As reported by both parties, they were unable to reach an agreement on the issues related to a merged company’s governance. A potential deal would have allowed the merged company to become the world’s fourth largest meat producer with annual turnover of $ 19 billion.
