BRF is under investigation

The Ministry of Agriculture of Brazil investigates BRF S.A., the world's largest chicken exporter, on non-compliance with food safety standards. A federal police report states that senior BRF officials allegedly tampered with documents and laboratory results to circumvent food safety and quality controls. Federal police alleged BRF of attempts to control the spread of news that traces of highly toxic dioxin were found in chicken exports to China in 2015 and to prevent the government from fully investigating the case.
