04 August 2021
Cherkizovo, Russian large-scale meat producer, has lately acquired the poultry production capacities of a bankrupt agroholding Belaya Ptica in the Kursk region at an auction. The deal included a hatchery, seven feedlots, and a processing plant. The final cost of the facilities was $73.5 million and did not differ from its initial worth. The acquired capacities have been rented by Cherkizovo since 2018. The ownership rights over the Kursk assets of Belaya Ptica will be transferred to Cherkizovo within a year.
