Cherkizovo to invest $563 million in meat processing

Cherkizovo, Russia’s large-scale meat producer, plans to establish a meat processing cluster in the Tula region until 2025. In particular, the company wants to build a pork processing plant with annual production capacity of 450,000 tonnes of finished products and a poultry processing plant with annual production capacity of 140,000 tonnes of finished products. In addition, Cherkizovo intends to increase the annual output of its existing plant producing semi-finished poultry products by 22,000 tonnes. The total worth of invetments in the project is estimated at $563 million.
