Cherkizovo to raise turkey meat production

Cherkizovo, a Russia-based agroholding, reports that the second stage of its poultry farm complex Tambovskaya Indeyka constructed together with Spanish Grupo Fuertes will be launched in mid-2021. After reaching full capacity, the facility will produce 85,000 tonnes of turkey meat annually, with a goal to increase the annual output to 100,000 tonnes. In 2020, the complex produced 41,000 tonnes of turkey meat, a 5%-increase as compared to 2019. In the mid-term perspective, Cherkizovo wants to increase the share of high value-added products in its production portfolio from 60% to 80%.
