China to subsidize construction of large pig farms
11 September 2019
Chinese authorities plan to boost national pork production after the numerous outbreaks of swine fever countrywide through funding the construction of large-scale pig farms. The subsidies will be issued by the end of 2020 and will be up to $ 700,000 per farm, but no more than 30% of the total worth of an investment project. Additionally, the funds will be used to expand the operations of existing pig farms as well as to cover the cost of equipment for waste treatment, environmental controls and automated feeding.
