Cygnet: milk output up three times

10 January 2019

Cygnet, the Ukrainian agroholding engaged in crop, sugar and milk production, managed to increase its cow productivity despite the decrease in the dairy herd. From 2012 to 2018, the dairy herd decreased three times to 605 heads. At the same time, the average milk yield has grown concurrently from 3,000 liters to 9,000 liters per cow. The company’s total milk output thus reached 5,500 tonnes in 2018.

As reported by Cygnet, the main reason for productivity growth was the implementation of modern technologies in breeding and herd management.
