Damate to launch new breeding projects

Damate, the largest producer of turkey meat in Russia, wants to build a turkey breeding reproducer and a sheep breeding farm in the Tyumen region. 

The poultry farm will consist of 10 breeding sites and maintain up to 137,500 birds. The annual production capacity of the farm is expected to reach 12 million eggs. The sheep breeding complex is designed for 10,800 sheep including 4,000 ewes, a lab for selection and storage of embryos, a summer pasture, and farmland area for compound feed production.

The worth of investments in both projects is estimated at $65.3 million and $16.3 million, respectively.
