Damate to relaunch duck meat production at bankrupt Donstar

Damate Group, the largest turkey producer in Russia, has acquired the claim rights over the loan of Russia’s former largest duck meat producer Donstar to Rosselkhozbank. Donstar has been out of operation since 2018 due to financial constraints: its total debt to creditors is estimated at $ 97.7 million. Of this amount, $92.4 million are liabilities against Rosselkhozbank.
Damate plans to lease production capacities of Donstar and relaunch duck meat production in Q3 2020.
