EkoNiva might acquire another dairy farm

EkoNiva, the largest Russian producer of raw milk and a subsidiary of German Ekozem-Agrar, is reportedly interested in the acquisition of a Russia-based dairy farm Voshchazhnikovo, which has been lately declared bankrupt. In particular, the farm’s outstanding debt to Vneshekonombank exceeds $ 116 million. Meanwhile, Voshchazhnikovo maintains 8,000 dairy cows and continues operating at its full capacity of 125 tonnes of milk per day.
