EkoNiva to invest in dairy farms

EkoNiva, the largest Russian producer of raw milk, plans to start the construction of two dairy farms in the Stupinsky district of the Moscow region of Russia in spring 2019. Each farm will be designed for 3,000 cows, with a total production capacity of 200 tonnes of milk per day. The total volume of investment in both farms is estimated at RUB 6 billion ($ 91.4 million).
Also, EkoNiva is to build a milk processing plant by 2022. The processing capacity of the plant is to reach 1,200 tonnes of milk per day. The total volume of investment will reach RUB 20 billion ($ 305 million).
So far EkoNiva operates 500,000 hectares of farmland in different regions of Russia. Last year, the company invested RUB 41.8 billion ($ 636 million) in constructing dairy farms in five regions of Russia.
