EkoNiva will not produce the planned 1 million tonnes of milk this year

01 October 2020

EkoNiva, the largest Russian producer of raw milk, has updated its production plan for this year. In particular, the company has reduced its expected raw milk output for 2020 from 1 million tonnes to about 900,000-940,000 tonnes. The company’s dairy herd will reach 105,000 cows instead of the previously planned 110,000 cows. EkoNiva will process up to 90,000 tonnes of own raw milk in 2020.

In the first half of 2020, the company produced 456,000 tonnes of raw milk, a 30%-increase as compared to the same period of 2019. The sales of raw milk rose from $130.5 million to $179.8 million within the same period of time.
