Eurodon under acquisition talks

The negotiations on the purchase of Eurodon, former Russia’s second largest turkey producer, are still in progress, as reported by Vneshekonombank (VEB). The potential acquirers are expected to prepare their offers until July 2019. According to a source on the market familiar with the process, Cherkizovo, Resurs and Damate are the most interested parties in the acquisition of Eurodon.
After several bird flu outbreaks at the agroholding’s enterprises in 2017, one of Eurodon’s creditors, Vneshekonombank, took control over Eurodon’s activities and decided to destroy the total poultry population until mid-2019 with further sale of Eurodon’s assets.
