FCC exported more than 400,000 tonnes of cereals and oilseeds

21 December 2018

Food Contract Corporation (FCC), a subsidiary of the state owned Kazakhstani holding KazAgro, exported 401,600 tonnes of grains and oilseeds during the first 11 months of 2018, an increase of 235% in comparison to the year-earlier period. FCC has shipped 110,600 tonnes of barley to Iran; 145,100 tonnes of wheat to Transcaucasia; 126,400 tonnes to Central Asia and 19,000 tonnes to China.

In addition, the company exported 417,200 tonnes of sunflower oil to China. The increase in exports this year is due to the sale of grain in the offseason, as well as due to the resumption of wheat supplies to Turkmenistan and the countries of Transcaucasia.
