First industrial sheep breeding farm in Russia launched by Miratorg

Miratorg agroholding launched a sheep breeding farm worth RUB 2.9 billion ($ 43.9 million) in the Kursk Oblast. This farm is the first of its kind in Russia. The capacity of the enterprise will allow to rear up to 50,000 sheep at a time and produce up to 3,300 tonnes of sheep meat per year. The launch of a lamb production enterprise that meets the global quality standards will increase the availability of this type of meat for Russian consumers and will help to increase the amount of export-oriented products. The company will also create about 100 new jobs.
