Fitch assigned A- rating to MSU Agro
31 March 2020
Fix SCR (affiliate of Fitch Ratings) upgraded the credit rating of MSU Agro, an Argentina-based agroholding, from BBB+ to A- with a stable outlook. The key driver of such improvement was the operational efficiency improvement of the company. MSU Agro has managed to raise its margins and decrease its indebtedness. In the period from June to December 2019, the company reduced its debt from $47 million to $40 million.
In 2019, MSU Agro produced 870,000 tonnes of grains on 167,000 hectares of farmland countrywide.
