HarvEast to use municipal wastewater for field irrigation

HarvEast, a Ukraine-based agroholding, wants to use municipal wastewater to irrigate its farmland areas under hybrid corn and hybrid sunflower near Mariupol, Donetsk region. In cooperation with local municipal authorities, the company plans to develop an appropriate irrigation infrastructure, namely, to build the pipelines, flow regulating structures, and water treatment systems. With this project, HarvEast expects to raise crop yields. So far, the company has 1,500 hectares under irrigation, and plans to extend this figure up to 5,000 hectares.
