Kernel: grain exports up 30% in Q2 FY2020

Kernel, one of Ukraine’s largest agroholdings and the world’s leading producer of sunflower oil, boosted its grain exports 30% to 2.26 million tonnes in the second quarter (Q2) of fiscal year (FY) 2020 as compared to the same period of FY2019. At the same time, the volume of grain transshipments at the company's export terminals grew 35% to 1.69 million tonnes due to a significant increase of grain exports from Ukraine in general in Q2 FY2020.
In the first half of FY2020, Kernel increased grain exports 24% to 3.88 million tonnes and reduced the sales of sunflower oil 17% to 647,300 tonnes as compared to the first half of FY2019. Also, the volume of grain transshipments at the company’s export terminals rose 29% to 2.89 million tonnes within the first six months of FY2020.
