Kernel: grain exports up 31% in Q1 2021 FY

Kernel, one of Ukraine’s largest agroholdings and the world’s leading producer of sunflower oil, has exported 2.13 million tonnes of grains in Q1 2021 FY, a 31% increase as compared to the same period last year. Of this volume, 1.9 million tonnes of grains were supplied by external partner companies, while the rest 230,000 tonnes were produced by Kernel’s enterprises. Also, Kernel’s grain transshipment volumes rose 56% to 1.9 million tonnes within the same period. In Q1 2021 FY, Kernel stored 1.25 million tonnes of grains and oilseeds, a 36% decrease as compared to Q1 2020 FY.
