Large farms produce a half of U.S. agricultural output

The latest U.S. federal government report informs that family farms prevail over corporate farms in the structure of the U.S. agriculture. Altogether, the family farms represent 98% of U.S. farms and 88% of U.S. agricultural production. At the same time, the large-scale family farms with annual gross profit of more than $1 million account for 46% of production, as compared to 21% of gross agricultural output produced by medium-size farms.
