MHP awarded for sustainable practices

MHP, a Ukraine-based agroholding, received an award for implementing its waste management project from the Ukrainian Forum Eco-Transformation-2019. The project aims at minimizing the harmful effects of large-scale operations on the environment through sustainable waste utilization and switching to renewable energy sources. MHP uses plant-based waste from its 14 grain elevators and three feedstuff plants to produce fuel bricks for further energy generation. Over the past three years, MHP invested $ 31 million in the construction of biogas plants on its premises.
