MHP keeps expanding its meat retail network

MHP, Ukraine’s largest poultry producer, intends to open up to 2,000 meat retail stores countrywide until 2023. Having started its retail project in mid-2020, the company launched over 50 stores by the end of the year. Earlier, MHP announced its plan to open 1,000 stores until 2022.
CEO and founder at MHP Yuriy Kosiuk reports that there is lack of corner stores in Ukraine (according to McKinsey estimations), and MHP wants to occupy this niche on the retail market by providing its customers with high-quality meat products that are available right around the corner.
MHP operates 370,000 hectares of farmland and controls over 50% of Ukrainian poultry market.
