MHP posts net profit of $232 million for H1 2021

MHP, Ukraine’s largest poultry producer, received net profit of $232 million in January-June 2021 (H1 2021), as compared to net loss of $62 million in H1 2020. Within the reporting period, MHP’s revenue rose 14% to $989 million, of them 51% or $502 million accounted for export revenue. Operating profit increased 85% to $255 million, while gross profit rose 63% to $358 million within the same period. As reported by MHP, the key driver behind this positive trend was currency fluctuations, particularly a 11%-decline in the value of Ukrainian hryvnia against US dollar in 2020.
