Miratorg to increase meat production

Miratorg, Russia’s largest producer of pork and beef, plans to invest RUB 15 billion ($ 230 million) in the expansion of its meat production. The company plans to build two sheep-breeding farms for 134,000 lambs in the Tula region. The farms will sell up to 6,600 tonnes (live weight) of meat per year. Miratorg also plans to build a feedlot for 80,000 heads of cattle in the Bryansk region of Russia. In addition, the agroholding intends to implement an interregional pig-breeding project for 6,800 sows in the Bryansk and Kursk regions. Currently, Miratorg has assets in 16 regions of Russia.
