Miratorg to invest $ 53 million in oil production

Miratorg, one of the largest Russian agroholdings, engaged in meat manufacturing and crop production, intends to build an oil-extracting plant in the Orlov region of Russia by 2020. The agroholding and the government of the region have already agreed upon the investment project worth RUB 3.6 billion ($ 53 million). The plant is to process sunflower, soy and rape. The expected amount of production equals 170,000 tonnes of vegetable oil and 230,000 tonnes of oilseed meal per year.
