Prodimex produced 1.34 million tonnes of sugar in 2018/19

Prodimex holding, the largest Russian sugar producer, processed 8.87 million tonnes of sugar beet and produced 1.34 million tonnes of sugar in the 2018/19 cropping season. A year ago, the company processed 10.3 million tonnes of sugar beet and produced 1.48 million tonnes of sugar. The sugar beet yield decreased by 14% from 433 decitonnes per hectare in 2017/18 to 374 decitonnes per hectare in 2018/19.
