Rostok-Holding: sunflower yield 30% lower than expected

Rostok-Holding, a vertically integrated Ukrainian agroholding operating 60,000 hectares of farmland, is currently busy with harvesting sunflower. This year, sunflower yields are 30% lower than initially expected by the company, and amount to about 2 tonnes per hectare. The key drivers behind this negative yield trend are unfavorable weather conditions during sowing campaign back in April 2020 and the lack of rainfall in summer. The farmland area under sunflower at the company is 8,000 hectares.
