Rusagro acquired oil production facility

Rusagro, a Russia-based agroholding, has lately acquired a sunflower oil production complex in the Saratov region at an auction for $156 million. The complex includes an oil extraction plant and a grain elevator and formerly belonged to a bankrupt Russian agroholding Solnechnye Produkty. As a major creditor of Solnechnye Produkty, Rusagro was the main contender for the purchase of the asset despite there were four other bidders at the auction. Rusagro took over the debt of Solnechnye Produkty in the amount of $469 million (RUB 35 billion) back in 2018.
