Rusagro to construct the world’s largest sauce plant

Rusagro, a Russia-based agroholding engaged in crop, sugar and meat production, plans to implement several new investment projects aimed at increasing the existing production capacities and constructing the new ones. In particular, Rusagro wants to invest $ 16 million in expanding the capacities of two oil extraction plants and a fat processing plant previously owned by a bankrupt Russian agroholding Solnechnye Produkty. 

Also, the company plans to build a frying oil plant with annual production capacity of 60,000 tonnes and a sauce plant on the premises of the abovementioned facilities. The sauce plant is expected to become the world’s largest plant in its segment with a production capacity of 80,000 tonnes of mayonnaise per year. The volume of investments in the construction of the new plants will amount to $ 80 million.
