Rusagro to resume negotiations with China on pig breeding project
25 May 2021
Rusagro, a Russia-based agroholding, plans to resume negotiations with Chinese authorities on the construction of a pig-breeding complex in China. In 2019, the company signed an agreement with the government of the Chinese province of Qingdao on the intention to invest $5 billion in a pig breeding project. However, the implementation of the project was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Rusagro outlines that pig breeding in China is now developing at a very rapid pace and is dramatically raising its scale.
