SALIC acquired Australian agroholding Baladjie Pty

The Saudi Agricultural & Livestock Investment Company (SALIC) continues strengthening its presence worldwide. The company reported about the acquisition of the Australian agroholding Baladjie Pty Ltd, operating 200,000 hectares of farmland and a sheep herd of 40,000 heads. The deal value has not been disclosed. However, it has reportedly exceeded $ 43 million. As stated by SALIC‘s Chief Investment Officer Matthew Jansen, Baladjie Pty will continue to focus on crop and sheep production. In September 2018, SALIC acquired the Ukrainian agroholding Mriya with 150,000 hectares of farmland.
