Saudi Arabia bought Ukrainian wheat from SALIC

The Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO) has bought 60,000 tonnes of Ukraine-produced wheat from the Saudi Agricultural & Livestock Investment Company (SALIC). The worth of wheat was $248 per tonne. SALIC owns a major stake in the Ukraine-based agroholding Continental Farmers Group operating 195,000 hectares of farmland.

SALIC’s business strategy is to invest in agriculture in order to ensure the food security to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. At present, SALIC’s portfolio farms produce wheat, corn, barley, fodder and other agricultural products.
