Sibagro, Russian large-scale pork and poultry producer, plans to build a plant for deep processing of grains in the Krasnoyarsk Krai until 2023. The company has completed the pre-design activities and negotiated project implementation with the local authorities. The plant's designed processing capacity is 250,000 tonnes of wheat annually. The facility will produce gluten, lysine chloride, feed yeast and biodegradable plastics. The company first announced its plans to build the plant back in 2019, and the initial investment was then estimated at RUB 15 billion ($203 million). In mid-2020, Sibagro adjusted the project cost to RUB 29.4 billion ($398 million).
