Steppe agroholding acquired RostZernoTrans

Steppe agroholding, one of the largest agroholdings in Russia and a subsidiary of the AFK Sistema corporation, bought out all assets of RostZernoTrans Group – 6 enterprises including grain elevators and a port terminal on the Don river. The total storage capacity of the purchased elevators equals 400,000 tonnes and the daily capacity of the terminal is 5,000 tonnes. Back in 2017, Steppe purchased a feed mill with a production capacity of 60,000 tonnes per year from RostZernoTrans.
In 2018/2019 marketing year (MY), Steppe agroholding has already exported nearly 700,000 tonnes of grain. The company plans to increase the exports volume up to 2 million tonnes in 2018/2019 MY and up to 3.5 million tonnes in 2019/2020 MY. This will allow the company to enter the list of top 5 Russia’s grain exporters.
