Sucden acquired another Russian sugar plant

Sucden, a France-based group of companies and Russia’s leading sugar producer, has increased from 51.54% to 100% its stake in Eletsky sugar plant, previously owned by Russia-based Trio Group. As a result of this deal, Sucden now operates four sugar plants in Russia. Also, Sucden controls 244,000 hectares of farmland Russia-wide. Meanwhile, Trio Group wants to focus on crop, potato and dairy production.
