Ukraine: agroholdings invest in digitization up to $7 per hectare

A recent ranking produced by NV.ua shows the top innovative Ukrainian agroholdings invested in implementation of digital technologies a sum equal to $5 to $7 per hectare of the farmland used in 2018. In particular, the Kernel agroholding, operating 540,000 hectares across Ukraine, tops the list with a total amount of $ 2.7 million invested in new digital technologies. Agroprosperis, that operates 400,000 hectares, was ranked second with a total investment of $ 2.0 million. Ranked third was MHP, a leading poultry producer in Ukraine with a total farmland area of 360,000 hectares and an investment of $ 2.5 million. The list includes also agroholdings such as Astarta (250,000 hectares, $ 1 million), IMC (123,900 hectares, $ 1 million), Harveast (127,000 hectares, $ 1 million) and Epicentr K (121,400 hectares, $ 420,000). The areas where agroholdings invested in digitization at most include document flow, accounting systems, agricultural machinery and monitoring of staff to prevent theft.
