AgriVolga completed modernization of cheese plant

AgriVolga Holding, a subsidiary of Russia-based Agranta Group, completed the modernization of the Uglich dairy plant. Currently, the plant processes about 30 tonnes of milk daily. After reaching full capacity, the facility will process 200 tonnes of milk daily: 75 tonnes will be used to produce fermented milk products and 125 tonnes will be processed into cheese. The plant is expected to produce 21,500 tonnes of ultra-pasteurized milk and fermented milk products and up to 4,300 tonnes of cheese annually. The worth of investment in the modernization project amounted to $25.1 million although initially it was estimated at $20.5 million.
