Astarta-Kyiv: soybean oil sales down, wheat sales up in 2020

Astarta-Kyiv, Ukrainian vertically integrated agroholding operating 250,000 hectares of farmland, reports a 11% decline in sales of soybean oil to 31,440 tonnes and a 17% decline in the sales of soybean meal to 102,150 tonnes in January-September 2020. At the same time, sunflower sales remained flat at 51,150 tonnes, as compared to the previous year. Sugar sales increased 3% to 247,300 tonnes in the reporting period. The average sugar price grew 1% to $358 per tonne.

Also, Astarta increased wheat sales 11% to 258,300 tonnes within nine months of 2020, as compared to the same period of 2019. Corn sales dropped 29% to 335,700 tonnes while barley sales doubled to 22,510 tonnes. The average wheat price increased 19% to $185 per tonne. Barley and corn price reduced 6% to $162 per tonne and 3% to $158 per tonne, respectively.
