Castrolanda Cooperativa Agroindustrial to receive a loan of R$ 125 million

The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) of Brazil approved a loan of R$ 125 million ($ 33.8 million) for the Castrolanda Cooperativa Agroindustrial. The funds will be used to finance the construction of a milk powder factory and a piglet production unit in Parana state. The milk powder factory with a production capacity of 3 tonnes per hour will be launched in August 2019. Founded by 50 families in 1951, Castrolanda cooperative is primarily specialized in milk production and has 2,300 employees and 876 producers, located in Paraná, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
