Cherkizovo extended farmland to 300,000 hectares

Cherkizovo, Russia’s leading meat producer, reports to have increase its farmland area from 287,000 hectares to 300,000 hectares. Such extension is due to recent farmland acquisitions in Penza and Lipetsk regions of Russia. In the current sowing campaign, Cherkizovo increased farmland under crops by 9,700 hectares to 174,800 hectares. The company produces winter and spring wheat, corn, sunflower, soybeans and rapeseeds.
