Cherkizovo to build a soybean processing facility

Cherkizovo Group, the largest meat producer in Russia, plans to launch a soybean processing plant in the Lipetsk region of Russia by 2020. The processing capacity of the plant is expected to reach 1,500 tonnes per day. The company plans to produce soybean meal and oil. The volume of the investment has not been disclosed yet. Cherkizovo is engaged in poultry, pork and crop production. Its total farmland area exceeds 140,000 hectares.
